I spent many years as a fundraiser for higher education, the last three years of my career as a nonprofit executive director, and have done all the jobs in-between. One person shop? Yep, been there. Marketing responsibilities plus all the tech. Yes, that too. In charge of the website and speaking? I’ve been there. Running a nonprofit board that needed some major overhaul? Check! Now, I spend my days helping nonprofits discover the right digital tools to make a bigger impact and get big results -- more donors, more volunteers, and more champions behind their cause.  As a former ED with first-hand experience of running board meetings and a current board member on the receiving end of the process, I felt compelled to create the Upside Down Agenda Training and share the lessons learned that made the biggest difference.  My goal is to help nonprofits end the frustration of meetings that satisfy the by-laws and instead, inspire and motivate the entire team to go out and make big things happen.  In September 2019, I was named the 2019 Mid-Ohio Valley Entrepreneur of the Year. That kind of recognition doesn’t come easy — it’s a result of hard work, of putting my experience to work for people like you, and for making it a priority to be generous in giving to both my community and other female entrepreneurs. I can’t remember any of the work I’ve accomplished being easy. In fact, most of those years were really hard. The late nights. The travel to see donors and volunteers. The letter stuffing. Preparing for board meetings. Executing events. Asking. And asking! The mail merges and the balancing of every. single. hat. You get it, right? Nonprofit work is crazy rewarding but gosh is it hard. Because of everything I learned during those years, I’ve been able to help nonprofits avoid some hard lessons and feel empowered to finally own their digital spaces. I teach them how to use the tools available to make their work easier. And now, I’m branching out a bit to offer systems and templates outside of website design to help even more people like you!
